Part 4: Do you want to transform? Surrender to your soul
The art of surrender. How to surrender and accept what is and what will be.
When you think of surrendering, what comes to mind? A white flag being waved in the air? Perhaps an image of you lying down and being defeated bubbles up? It is actually your soul calling to allow love to flow freely through you. It often comes about when we feel like we’ve tried everything else and now feel exhausted and we give in. We actually surrender when we no longer resist what is behind or before us; no need to change anything or do anything. We let go and let God. It empowers us to seek out and understand our true selves, who we are at our core essence which is Spirit/Source/God.
It finally stops our ego mind from overwhelming us and asking us to continually take actions until we find ourselves in a blissful state of peace and stillness. Surrender provides the awareness to see the amazing things that are here for us and remember our creation story of love.
The Hopi Story of Human Creation:
The Great Creator gathered together the whole of creation, and said: ‘I want to hide something special from the humans, until they are ready to find it, this is the soulful concept of their love, and how they create their own reality!’
The Eagle said: ‘Give it to me, and I will take it to the moon!’ The Creator said: ‘No, one day they will go there and find it.’
The Salmon said: ‘I will bury it in the deepest part of the ocean.’ The Creator said: ‘No, they will go there too!’
The Buffalo said: ‘I will bury it in the middle of the Great Plains.’ The Creator said: ‘They will probably cut into the skin of the earth and find it even there!’
Grandmother Mole, who lives in the breast of the Earth, and no physical eyes, but sees with spiritual eyes, said: ‘Put it inside them!’ ‘It is done! said the Creator.
When we have surrendered, we have found the love that wants to expand our heart and can tune into the unlimited divine guidance available to us to move forward from a place of peace not contraction. We need to leave behind the fearful thoughts and go through an ego purification until we notice the abundant harvest in our life including our relationships with family and friends, our creative expression, the warmth of a bubble bath, the bio-diversity of nature, and the beauty that is within everything.
We reach a destiny of faith and trust in the great tapestry of existence.
It is now more than ever with the current virus pandemic with people in self isolation or lockdown and many people facing an uncertain future, that we need to practice and embody the art of surrender.
I understand that self isolation or lockdown may bring up fears of being alone for many. A message for the human collective at this time is this is a forced slow down for people who are normally frantically busy controlling life and going from one thing to the next without having any time to reflect on who they really are and why they are here. In fact modern life contributes enormously to this manic pace when information is coming at us 24/7 and it’s hard to disconnect. The rushing needs to stop, this is masculine energy, the feminine is now rising and we need to identify and understand how we can just be. You are a human being not a human doing. Times of being on our own or having to slow down our pace of life, opens us up to the wisdom of our spiritual nature.
During my own rapid spiritual ascension, I experienced my own version of self isolation for several years, I very much felt like a hermit crab as I confronted my shadow to do the inner work that required transmuting. Here are my tips for how you can make the best of this situation and surrender to what is happening right now:
1. Go within and meditate everyday. This is an act of self care, it is extremely beneficial for your brain to focus and for your body to rest. You can learn tremendous wisdom and heal quickly via meditation, it’s very restorative. This will open you up to your inner world more easily than any other practice. I recommend Holosync, an advanced form of meditation.
2. Be creative. Let your right brain run wild. There are so many ways to be creative, for example, you can write that book that you’ve always wanted to write or you can create a fun board game to play with the family.
3. If you live near the beach or nature, then go out and be completely present to its beauty and wonder. Feel the breath of the Earth when you are amongst trees or when the sea air touches your hair.
4. Bring more balance into your life. Do some gentle exercises such as Yoga, Pilates or stretching. These exercises balance out the chakras and allow our life force to flow easily. My sister’s business is Ministry of Yoga Portugal and her doors are open for new students to take classes online. She has students from around the globe.
5. Consider overcoming life’s challenges with self hypnosis and paraliminals and creating your best life. Steve G Jones has a large array of self hypnosis tracks and Learning Strategies has a library of paraliminals that are life changing.
6. A wonderful technique that can apply to all areas of your life and will support you with the practice of surrender is Ho’oponopono, the Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. If you haven’t read Dr Hew Len’s story with healing mentally ill prisoners then you need to read this. Also, pick yourself up a copy of ‘Zero Limits’ by Dr Hew Len and Joe Vitale and dive deep into this heart centred practice, it is transformational.
The more you can accept what is happening in this moment of now without resistance, the more you will cultivate the art of surrender and open up to your soul’s essence.
Remember “What you resist, persists” Carl Jung.
I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you. (Ho’oponopono)
Here’s to living your best life!
