Discover the 5 elements and your core element

Discover the 5 elements and your core element

Aug 22, 2021

According to the Taoist philosophy, the Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine) energies create what are known as the “Five Elements” including:

- Water

- Wood

- Fire

- Earth

- Metal.

The Five Elements theory is an important concept and the key principles are:

- These elements can illuminate more about you.

- Everything you experience can be categorised into one of these elements.

- When these elements are balanced in your reality then you experience health and prosperity.

I provide a summary of what I've been learning about these elements recently and how it helps us to connect more deeply with our true self and others.

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself - Coco Chanel.

Let's explore key features of each element below:

Choose love over fear and implement your ideas in the physical to restore balance.

What is your core element?

You have a fixed core element and then another element is often dominant too. From viewing these qualities, can you identify with your core element? It’s important not to overly identify with the associated emotion / feeling with your element, because it’s about finding balance with all elements. What is interesting to notice is if that emotion has been dominant in your life, as this can be a helpful clue to your core element. Once you have noticed this, you can then increase your self awareness and choose to work through that feeling.

My core element is metal and my view is this element is very important for where we are right now. There is lots of old programming and beliefs that need to be removed and let go of as the collective moves forward. Humanity is evolving at a much quicker pace so letting go will support the shifts and allowing the new energies available for us to progress.
