Activate self love in a few easy steps
When was the last time you took good care of yourself? Is it time to commit to you? February is the month of love and did you know that 13 February is International Day of Self Love?
What is self-love?
Self-love is when you love and accept everything about you at this moment even those lower vibration emotions or a particular body part that you have labelled as “bad” and that you want to reject. It allows you to be authentically you with no masks and find this bountiful wellspring of energy of love inside you.
What are the benefits of cultivating self-love?
The benefits are many. When you put the stick down from the inner critic, e.g. Nasty Nellie or Nigel, who keeps beating you up, and replace with compassion and appreciation for you, you attract and welcome much more love and many other goodies into your life.

What are 3 actions you can take to activate self-love today?
Here are a few suggestions below:
1. Giving to yourself and receiving the gift completely. It could be booking yourself in for a spa treatment, go on you know how good a facial is. Alternatively, you could create a spa at home by soaking in a Himalayan salt bath with a honey mask and two pieces of cucumber to relax your eyes. Ahhh, I can sense the relaxation already.
2. Identify your talents and express gratitude for your talents in front of the mirror whilst gazing deeply into your eyes. This can be hard to do at first and this gives you insights that perhaps you need to strengthen your self-love muscle. You might be thinking but what are my talents? I have 3 suggestions for you to explore:

ii) simply ask a close friend who will give you robust insights.
3. Find a love or heart chakra meditation and listen to it as many times as you feel is needed or you can just simply visualise your heart expanding and filling your whole body with beautiful pink and green energies.
To put you really in the mood for self-love, how about choosing a theme song for your self-love day? Song suggestions include “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera or power up with “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. Music is perfect for when you need an uplift.
