3 tips to keep your energy levels high

You may have noticed that our modern life is overwhelming with the sensory overload of what we now face with so much information available via the Internet and technology. It can be challenging to disconnect from it and can deplete your energy stores.
On top of all of the information coming at you, you need to exercise regularly, give energy to your emotions and relationships. At work, many people are working very long days without much time for rest. So given all of this, how do you manage your energy?
1. Tread lightly
Tread lighly through life. Don't take life so seriously. When you are anxious or worried about the future and the possibility of a negative outcome, you are burning up a lot of energy on that topic. The future isn't here yet, that possible outcome is merely a possibility and not a fact.
Spend your energy wisely in the present moment focused on the good you want to create in your life. Notice where you are consuming energy quickly. Also, often people create worse scenarios than what actually happens so knowing this, give yourself a break and go do something you enjoy which means you replenish your energy tank. When you're not attached to outcomes and can go with the flow of life, you keep more energy.

2. Renew your energy
Meditation and mindfulness breaks are strategies that give back energy to you throughout your day. If you find yourself rushing around and feeling your energy waning, slow down and take some time to connect with you internally. It could simply be slowing your breathing down and noticing your exhale and inhale.

3. Surround yourself with positive people
Notice how people impact you, are they leaving you with energy and empowering you or sucking your energy dry? Also, think about when you are on social media and what you are paying attention to. Are you noticing the negatives people share or are people sharing positive and inspiring information?
Release relationships from your life with grace that no longer serve you. Give to those relationships that do fill your energy up.
